House of Rituals in Amsterdam

Project Description

Rituals opened a shop on the corner of Kalverstraat and Spui in Amsterdam in honour of its 20th anniversary. The striking building, located on the corner of Spuiplein and Kalverstraat, was designed in 1891 by Eduard Cuypers on behalf of furniture and carpet warehouse H.F. Jansen & Sons.

The property consists of four floors and 1,500m² and would introduce the new House of Rituals concept to the Netherlands. This concept would include a restaurant, home collection, mind & body spas and the possibility of meditation classes.

Based on this concept, Rituals opted for a thorough renovation, restoring original structures and adding high-quality contemporary elements.

SPARQ, in collaboration with Snep Exclusive Metals B.V., completed a full glass balustrade of around 75 metres on three floors.
