The Cath in Utrecht

Project Description

In the centre of Utrecht, the beautiful office building 'The Cath🏢' realised. In collaboration with Qbiq b.v. and commissioned by Pleijsier Bouw, SPARQ supplied and installed the glass balustrades. The glass balustrades are located along the staircases, voids, entrance landings and roof terraces (approx. 330m). ⁠

The interior balustrades (along staircases and voids) are finished with the U-Line Side profile⚒️. The balustrades along the roof terraces (mounted on an auxiliary steel structure) and entrance steps are finished with the U-Line Top profile. At part of the stairs, the glass is finished with a custom-made handrail. The handrails are coated black. ⁠

The treatments of the profiles along the voids, stairs and landings are natural anodised and the profiles along the roof terraces are coated in a standard RAL colour. The profiles along the voids are finished with typesetting. The profiles along the staircases are finished with the U-Line Zij covers. The flashings and U-Line Side covers are coated in a standard RAL colour.⁠
