nhow Amsterdam RAI Hotel at Amsterdam, Zuid-As
Project Description
Pleijsier Bouwgroep has built the RAI Hotel on Amsterdam's Zuidas business district. The hotel consists of 17 floors and has 650 rooms. These features have made the RAI Hotel officially the largest building in the Benelux.
There are terraces on floors 10 and 17 where SPARQ fitted functional fall protection around the terraces. All roof terraces have had sliding gates on all two sides, which were designed, manufactured and fitted by SPARQ. On this sliding steel structure, the glass balustrade was mounted to match the rest of the terrace edges. In addition, a full glass balustrade was fitted at the vinyl edges and escalator connection.
In this project, SPARQ installed 224 metres of full glass balustrade on the systems U-Line Top 3kN and Y-Line 3kN
